NH DHHS Emergency Child Care Programs’ Mapping

Child Care Aware of New Hampshire (CCAoNH), in collaboration with national partner Child Care Aware of America (CCAoA) and the NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration, has created a map of early childhood and school-age programs within the State that have applied and have been designated as DHHS Emergency Child Care Programs (ECCP).

These DHHS Emergency Child Care Programs (ECCPs) have been established to provide child care services for children and youth whose parents have been deemed as essential workers under Governor Sununu’s Exhibit A to Emergency Order # 17 pursuant to Executive Order 2020-04. Programs approved under the ECCP, may be eligible for incentive payments to support staff salaries, operations and supplies through federal, state and philanthropic funding

The DHHS Emergency Child Care Programs Map information is being updated daily by CCAoA as new applications are received. A legend on the upper right hand side is available as new information is included. Please note, that this information changes often and is reliant on updates provided to our state partner, the Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration. Additionally, there is a layering component (layer list) to this map on the upper right hand side. This can be used to note the ECCP’s specifically, a heat map regarding the concentration of these ECCP’s, Alternative Care Sites following zip codes and to outline the zip codes within the State.

Additional efforts have been and are in place to obtain the most current information through our Emergency Child Care Lines. For information on these lines please visit http://nh.childcareaware.org/emergency-lines-for-covid-19/.

Please note that this map is for information purposes. It is the intent of CCAoNH that this mapping may assist others in establishing a visual of available options within the state and any other efforts being made to support the field of early childhood, school-age care and education.
