Associate Teacher – The Learning Center – Concord Hospital

Position Summary:

Summary

As an Associate Teacher at The Learning Center you promote the social, physical and intellectual growth of children; provides developmentally appropriate care; observes and documents children's learning and development; supervises classroom operations in the absence of the Lead Teacher; communicates effectively with children, all center staff and families.

Hours

5/8 hour days - Variable schedule starting as early as 6:00 am and closing to 6:30 pm

Education

Must have a high school diploma or a GED, and a minimum of 12 credits in Early Childhood Education, 3 of which are in Child Growth and Development, all from a regionally accredited college.

 

Certification, Registration & Licensure

Certification required to obtain: Must be certified in Infant and Child CPR including AED training, and Basic First Aid within 6 months of hire; must attend Water Safety training within 1 year of employment.

Experience

Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of two years’ experience working with young children in a group setting.
