Associate Teacher or Group Leader for After School Program

Position Summary:

Position Qualifications & Requirements:

Qualifications Required Skills and Experience:

A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day

Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and discovery go hand-in-hand

Strong communication skills

CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

Compliance with NH CCLU requirements for background checks and employment eligibility card

Must comply with the NH CCLU requirements for a Lead or Associate Teacher

Lead Teacher Qualifications

Minimum of 18 Early Childhood credits with 3 credits in Child Growth & Development

Associate Teacher Qualifications

Minimum of 9 Early Childhood credits with 3 credits in Child Growth & Development, OR

1500 Hours of Supervised Experience, 3 ECE credits, & a written plan for 6 ECE credits in 12 months, OR

Minimum of 100 hours of supervised experience and completion of a 2 year vocational/certificate child care course

Position Responsibilities:

The overall responsibility of our teachers is to provide engaging, child inspired curriculum with a focus on the entire child in a team atmosphere.  This includes leading intentional classroom activities using the NH Early Learning Standards.  The Teacher provides direct care while meeting the needs of each individual child with support of their cognitive, social-emotional and physical development.  Our Teachers offers complete supervision of all children enrolled while ensuring the program is in compliance with NH State Licensing Bureau regulations.  This position is responsible for a high level of parent communication, development of a creative and intentional learning environment and the establishment of child inspired curriculum practices for the classrooms.
