The Child Development Center at Keene State College invites applicants for the Early Childhood Teacher-Floating Substitute role to work in partnership with the center staff to achieve highest standards of quality for children, families and college students. This is a 30 hour per week non-benefited position working from January 2019 through June 14, 2019; hours are 11:00-5:30 daily with an hourly rate of $14.00/hour.Position Qualifications & Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or an Associate’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of nine credits in child development, early childhood education or other field of study focused on children, including at least one 3-credit course in child growth and development from a regionally accredited college. Candidates must meet New Hampshire Bureau of Child Care Licensing requirements for an Associate Teacher and have sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this position, including lifting up to 50 lbs.Position Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities: Support CDC staff in implementing an educational program in the infant and toddler classrooms; implement daily curriculum; maintain and organize classroom environment; model excellent, nurturing child guidance skills; communicate with infant and toddler teaching team, college students and families; foster positive relationships with team members, children and families; maintain general communication, including recordkeeping, and attend team meetings, staff meetings and center events.
