The Lead Teacher position for our three and four year old teacher is offered Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. We follow the SAU 16 calendar, starting the school year in late August and ending at the beginning of June. We are closed during all school vacation weeks.Position Qualifications & Requirements:

Must meet all state health, safety and regulatory requirements for a licensed preschool, including background checks. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 credits in ECE including 3 Growth and Development, a recent physical, and first aid/CPR. Early childhood certification required. Five or more years of experience in early childhood is strongly preferred.Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide a differentiated curriculum for students ages 3 and 4 years olds.
Able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks or priorities.
Able to stay calm, focused and in control when working with children, parents or guardians who may be difficult and challenging to engage.
Observe, monitor, and participate in engaging, interactive children's play activities.
Take initiative, sees a need in daily activities in engaging interactive children's play activities.
Support the emotional and social development of children through active listening.
Take appropriate steps to intervene when children are not listening to instruction, especially where safety in concerned.
Meet with parents for conferences and upon request.
Track student progress and provide supports as needed.
Ability to be firm, respectful but loving their discipline.
Promote program procedures effectively to ensure the safety, well-being and health of all participants.
Determine supplies needed for projects, obtain them and receive reimbursement when needed.
Prepare snacks for the children and clean-up snack area. Clean up and straighten the room and equipment before, during and after the program.
Be able to work outdoors.
Participate in ongoing professional development and be part of team that shares and works together to continuously improve professionally and organizationally.
Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of children.
Comply with confidentiality requirements in local, state and federal policies and statutes.
Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem. and self-discipline.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
